Great little shredder. I have worn out three shredders from Office Depot. This one is going strong. Easy to maintain and empty shredded documents. Don't forget Amazons great service.

I have owned two of these now, after having to replace my first one within the first week. The first one stopped working when it was unable to shred a CD, although the package indicates that it can shred CD's and credit cards.
The second one just stopped shredding. The motor still runs and the device sounds like it is working, but nothing. When you put the paper in it doesn't even chew it up a little bit. This has to be the worst shredder EVER!

I thought this would be great as I purchased it - "powerful 20 sheet motor" & "shreds up to 10 sheets folded" were written across the top. They didn't mention that the opening is not wide enough for a full sheet of paper - you HAVE to fold it! The unit is short - desktop size and heavier than one would expect. I would have probably kept it if a sheet of paper fit in it, but this one is going back, too.

While it looks nice in red it is a complete design failure. The plastic basket that is supposed to catch the shredded paper is only half the height in the back, causing the shredded pieces to fall over the edge of the basket when you pull it forward to empty it. FAIL.
--- After I complained to Black & Decker they exchanged this unit for one with a larger (and better designed) tray. So while I wouldn't recommend this unit for paper shredding (Black & Decker said they intended it for shredding CDs), I thank Black & Decker for the exchange. PF

I did not buy this product from Amazon but am so very disgusted with it that I looked for some place to warn others. As the review posted before mine said, this thing is a disaster. Everything they said was true. If you don't empty it repeatedly (and even if you do, it makes a mess everywhere), the drawer jams even if it doesn't look full.
Under no circumstances would I recommend this product to anyone. Well, to anyone I liked.

Disappointed in this shredder. Cannot get the bin open because shredded too much paper (the little red light did not come on to indicate the bin was full) and the paper is now stuck and keeping the bin from being pulled out. Nothing in the manual addresses how to get it open.
