Bought this small home use shredder to replace one that burned out after three years. It's just OK for the price. Biggest drawback is the way you feed paper into the slot. It feeds at an angle and if you don't do it just so, it takes a few seconds to catch the edge. Very annoying.



It is small an unobtrusive under my desk and not quite as noisy as my old one was. Have to wait and see how it holds up...but I wish I had waited to see more reviews before buying this newer model.

I highly recommend this shredder. It's far superior to any of the small-capacity shredders available through the big office-supply chains. It has a better motor than the others, it's built with higher-quality materials, and has not given me any of the problems that always seem to plague the cheaply-constructed ones (which are mostly made in China). Sure, it's more expensive... but as with many items, you get what you pay for. I've been through the lower-cost models - a lot of them - and the QuikFinish ShredderShark outperforms them by a mile. Not even close. Best of all, it's made here in the States. If you need a home or small-office shredder that's reliable and solid, save yourself some frustration and get one of these.

I researched and researched and researched, and compared prices over and over. I took a chance on this shredder. At the time it didn't have many reviews and I thought the price too low for it to be any good. But it surprised me and I'm happy with my choice. It shreds papers and credit cards easily and quickly enough. Haven't tried shredding CDs. I use mine to shred credit cards and documents, clean out old files. So far it has not over heated. The automatic shreddering feature senses a feed everytime. I feed continuously, before it completes a shred I am feeding in the next batch and I've never had it jam. (I limit feed to no more than 6 or 8 sheets has recommended.) A quality product, I definitely recommend the reshredder for home office use.



One draw back, it is ackward to move without removing the shredder off the the wastebasket. If the manufacturer added some type of handle to the wastebasket, they would have a 5 star product.

Shreads Credit cards and CDs too. I think 8 sheets at a time is bit much though. Still a good machine for the money.

I also ordered a SH8CDCC by Banner American and received the Techko SH52008. It is white instead of black but has the same basic design. I believe the mechanicals are identical. It is poor business to operate in this manner of replacing what is ordered with what is on hand. I can request a return authorization that could take weeks to "wait for manufacturer approval". Makes no sense to get manufacturer approval to return the wrong item, not a defective item. The item is probably replaced by this one and the customer service couldn't help at all (Keenzo.com). No manager was available to address the issue. Don't purchase this item anywhere without speaking to someone to verify what you will be getting.

The item I ordered is a Shreddershark. I received a brand called TECHKO. I checked reviews of what I orderd from other sources and ordered it. I got some other brand which I know nothing about!!!. I will try to use it but it really sucks when a company advertises a product in detail and sends you a different Brand. That reflects bad on Amazon!!!

Within weeks of my purchase, the product failed. When switched to the 'auto' position, the motor cycles continuously. I contacted Sisco and they have been uncooperative. They are essentially denying that their product has failed. They want me to ship the product to them at my expense; they will then decide if it is broken. They agreed to send me an email with their return terms, but they have not sent those terms to me. Their one-year warranty is an empty promise!

I just got this shredder, plugged it in and it runs continually in auto feed. I do not want to have to turn it off and on as I need to shred. That is a main feature I need in a shredder. I don't mind the noise and the shredding is actually good, but I can't have it run continually. I need to just be able to drop pieces in it here and there as I go through my paperwork without having to switch it on and off each time. I even tried to clean the sensor and that didn't work either. I don't even want a replacement, I plan on getting another brand. I wouldn't even rate this one star as it should come out of the box working correctly, but Amazon would not let me rate any lower.

I guess technically this shredder will handle 8 sheets, but it doesn't like it. When you stick 6-8 sheets of paper in the shredder at one time the motor sounds like it's going to seize.

This shredder is perfect for throwing one piece of junk mail in at a time, but not for shredding a lot of paper.

The first shredder I got crapped out on me after 3 weeks, I was so disappointed as I researched this shredder and thought it sounded the best for the price and my needs. It claims to shred a max of 8 sheets, thats a lie. It actually only shreds about 4 sheets at a time. Our first shredder died when we put 2 sheets in. I contacted Amazon and told them of our experience and they handled the situation beautifully. I had another shredder within a few days, no questions asked. Now that's customer service!! It is the same brand and model that had broken but now I'm more informed on how to deal with this machine, I never put more than 4 sheets in at a time.

I'm an artist used needed a linear, not diamond, shredder to elegantly destroy massive art history books through as well as 25 years of photographic negatives and prints. At this price, I figured that, even if I burnt out the motor or destroyed the blades early on, I'd still get my money's worth, but it powered through some serious tasks it wasn't desired for. Had to let it rest 2 times after an hour + of shredding sections of a 1500 page book, but the motor started up the next day. Have recommended it to others. Wish the feed slot were a little large and that it had guides for small thin items (negatives were fed through the credit card center area).

I have another heavy duty paper shredder and was looking for something I could use to just shred cds/dvds and the occasional credit card. This was not the answer. It's really a shredder that is meant for very, very light use. It is absolutely useless for CD/Credit Cards as the teeth give up the ghost pretty fast. It's not even that great for paper. You're much better off spending a little more money rather than going on the cheap with this shredder, it just doesn't do the job.

After owning this shredder, and reading some negative reviews, I have a feeling that many people just don't think before they either buying this shredder, or put in what it can't handle (unless they truly did get a dud, which I'm guessing is rare). I bought it with the intention of only shredding junk mail and any documents with personal information, and it's been great! If you try to put in too much, I can see it maybe struggling, so I've never tried that. I never recycle nor throw away my address, so I always tear those off. When they pile up, I shred a small pile, maybe 6-10, and it can easily handle that load.



I've accidentally put in staples and it handles them just fine. Credit cards do take just a little more effort, but it get the job done just fine. To people who say you shred it and the entire number is on the shredded remains, just turn it horizontally and that problem is fixed!



This machine is more basic, but it's not rocket science to know that you can't overload it. I've never tried more than 6 pages, and it can handle that amount alright, but I'd say that should be the limit to be safe.



It does cut in long 1/4 inch strips, which is not secure, so that's why I'm selling this one and buying a confetti one. However, the person who is buying this one will be lucky, because it gets the job done on simple shredding jobs!

it is only for home use, sometimes it stops working if you put all the 8 sheet of paper, you can only use at least 4 sheets at a time but it is not a bad product, if you want to secure your information this will just work fine.

Can't beat it for the price. It takes stacks of paper quickly and smoothly (my old shredder said it could handle 5 sheets but would sound as if it was dying while shreddeing the shirt stack). I've been using it in a home office for about 1 month and I'm very happy with the purchase.
