 "Horrible - Overheats and does NOT Shred 25 Sheets" 2009-06-05

I currently work at a law firm where we are required to shred documents that need to be disposed of. We purchased this shredder with hopes that we can destroy large quanities of paper easily without the constantly overheating and jamming of our old shredder. Unfortuantely this shredder is just as bad. It does not take up to 25 sheets, it barely takes 15 without jamming [with all staples and clips removed]. It also overheats very quickly and requires over an hour to become available to use again. I definitely do NOT recommend this shredder to anyone interested in shredding large amounts of documents.

Nice little shredder for light use. But mine is dead and it gave no warning. Maybe I pushed the little guy too hard and wore out his motor. Great for a few papers a day but not in an office I don't think.

Really, really not recommended. I recently bought this shredder for my office, and it's currently sitting under my desk. Just sitting, mind you. There is no warning, or a window to see into the tray. I usually empty this thing every few days, but when I forgot and left it for a week, the shredder got so full that I am COMPLETELY UNABLE to open the drawer anymore. It won't turn on anymore because it's so full, and no matter how hard I try, I cannot get the drawer open to empty it. The other cross-cut shredder we have in the office has both a warning light when it's getting too full, as well as a window to see in when it's getting too full, so we never have a problem.

Overall, it was nice while it worked, but it's not worth the money to only use for a few weeks before it's just a decorative, paper-filled lump in the corner. Very sad :(

As a previous reviewer said, it has a nice small footprint. It did work for almost exactly a year and then thats about it. Also I was never able to shred 5 pieces at the same time. It would almost choke on one piece. It was perfect for small receipts and once in awhile shredding of junk mail. But if you have a somewhat larger amount of paper get a better one. For shredders its been my experience if you have a lot of material to shred pay the money and get a real heavy duty one.

I've had this shredder for a few months now, and I must say that I'm impressed with it. We use it every few days to get rid of all those credit card applications, and it hasn't jammed or had any issues ever. My favorite feature of this shredder is it's slim footprint. Ours stays between a desk and a filing cabinet, and you can hardly notice it. Highly recommend for personal/home use!

This shredder is not as heavy duty as I expected. It recommends taking 30 minute breaks after 3 minutes of shredding (if I remember correctly, I can't get to the paperwork it came with). It is good enough for home use, though.

I work mostly from my office at home. I've gone through 3 paper shredders in under a month. Finally found a great one.

I shred 30 - 50 pages per week, and yes I leave the staples in. After 3 months, the shredder is working just as good as when I took it out of the box (unlike the others I purchased).

The auto shredder is working great for me, even with just one piece of paper.

It sits perfect under my desk where I easily insert pages as the day goes on.

Purchased this shredder to fit underneath my desk and am satisfied with the size and aesthetics, as far as the operation...not so good. It requires a great deal of effort to get the receipts/documents in the correct position to upstart the motor. I kept my Fellowes DM15C and am glad I did . It resides in my garage and I find myself making the trek more and more often(reminds me of my smoking days...never thought my new garage habit would revolve around shredding)
