This model replaced the discontinued GBC Shredmaster 3220S which performed extremely well for us. The so-called improvement on this model is a "protective shield" which does not allow paper going in to feed properly into the shredding area. In addition, the shredding machine sits on a plastic cabinet whose door needs special attention to close properly so shredding can resume after changing the trash bag. Finally, the metal frame that holds the trash bag in place is slightly too narrow and does not fit securely on the rails inside the cabinet. GBC had a good workhorse and ruined it on its redesign. We're still looking for a quality replacement.
